We Are All Sick

This has not been a great week for me. 

Two of my kids have influenza, two have strep, they all have a cough, my husband is coming down from the flu and has developed a low grade fever on top of all the aches and pains he had last week and I’ve been fighting a headache and congestion for days. 

Needless to say I didn’t get much done. I didn’t even turn on my sewing machine. It’s been almost comical with me distributing meds twice a day to all of my kids and going down the line checking temperatures. 

While I didn’t actually sew anything, I was able to lay out all of my blocks and figure out how they all look together. I then picked them up in their specific order so that I won’t get confused when I feel well enough to sew them all together. 

I was pleasantly surprised with how they looked. I did end up adding an extra green block and adding two brighter yellows. They look even brighter in the picture than they do in reality. The yellow isn’t quite so ‘look at me.’ 

Hopefully the meds kick in soon and we can finally move past all of this ickiness. It’s hard having sick kids, especially when you don’t feel well yourself.
