This has been a rough week for me.

We came home from our Spring Break trip on Monday which was hard enough. I had to say goodbye to my twin sister whom I only get to see once a year, on average. She is my best friend and I miss her terribly.

Then on Tuesday I had to go to the dermatologist and have an excision on my arm from a previous biopsy that had abnormal results. I will admit that I wasn’t expecting it to be quite as extensive as it was. I currently have stitches in my arm and it’s sore every time I engage my forearm which is hard not to do when you’re a mother of a three year old.

Then Wednesday I had a day full of appointments that had me running around town and made my arm start to bleed and only stop once I elevated it over an hour and put pressure on it for half of that.

The rest of the week my arm has been sore and I’ve been unable to take any ibuprofen because it’s a mild blood thinner and I’m having bleeding issues at the site. Needless to say, I haven’t been able to get any sewing done.

The biggest issue with my lack of sewing is that I don’t think I’m going to make my goal to finish the birthday quilt by May. I have four more days and I haven’t even sandwiched it yet. It looks like I’ll have to move that goal back to the next birthday month which is July. If I can’t get it done by then then I have bigger problems than just a sore arm.
